When you order a Weald Refrigeration wine cooler, you’re buying a reliable unit that is engineered to stand the test of time.

We understand that a bespoke cabinet is a long term investment, which is why our refrigeration equipment is designed with longevity in mind. Many of our units are still operating 25 years after their manufacture, testament to the skill and craftmanship of our dedicated team.

To keep your cabinet running well into the future, we can offer a range of spares and refurbishment services. Provided they are in good physical condition, many of our older units can be upgraded to meet modern environmental and energy standards. Switching to new FGas compliant refrigerants can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by as much as 78%, which we highly encourage. Additionally, minor wear-and-tear can be resolved with spare parts or simple refurbishment procedures. We would much rather do this than have our equipment end up in landfill.

Case Study – A Recent Refurbishment

We recently received this 12 year old unit back from a client.

Firstly, we upgraded the outdated R134a system to accommodate a new energy efficient refrigerant, R600a. The LEDs were also changed to a much lower wattage (4.8w per m).

The controller and probes were replaced, as was the old chrome lockable latch and the door seal.

Finally, the unit was thoroughly cleaned before being sent back to the client, along with a full 6 month parts and labour warranty.

All of this work was done for 1/3 of the price of a new unit to this specification.

This wine cooler is now ready to last its owner another 12 years, an outcome that is better for their pocket as well as the planet.
