The title of this article is “The Perfect Kitchen Accessory,” but if you are a wine enthusiast it can just as equally be called “The Perfect Kitchen Necessity.”

Weald Refrigeration specializes in bespoke wine coolers.

Do you do a lot of entertaining? Especially, do you entertain other oenophiles? If so, think how delighted your guests will be to enter your kitchen and see your vintage wines displayed in a glass-fronted wine cooler that showcases your wine like the pieces of art they are.Wine

You may be thinking to yourself, “I’ve kept my wine inside the door of my fridge for years. Why do I need a separate wine cooler?”

Well, think about the needs of your wine. Some types of wine are best served at one temperature, and others are best served at a different temperature. If you keep your wine in your refrigerator, or simply on a kitchen countertop, you’ll never be able to serve it at the proper temperature.

Perhaps you’d like your white wines to be served at a temperature of +6°C, while you’d like you red wines served at +19°C. Weald Refrigeration has the dual temperature wine cooler for your needs. Each side of the cooler can be set to its own specific temperature.

In addition to keeping your wines at just the right temperature at all times, a wine cooler can be an attractive addition – they come in different finishes such as stainless steel or brown coated steel to complement any kitchen décor.

Proper Temperatures for Wines

It’s important that wines be served at the proper temperature. Wine at the proper temperature releases its aromas, but does not ruin the taste. If a wine is too cold, the aromas won’t release. If the wine is too warm, it releases too much aromatics.

The proper temperature for both reds and whites has a temperature range of no more than 5 degrees. For example, white wines would be anywhere from +6°C to +12°C, while red wines are best served between +19°C and +25°C.
