Bavarian-style Brau Haus

Bavarian-style Brau Haus

A-listed building in the Glasgow city centre is set to become a Bavarian beer hall just in time for Oktoberfest.

The striking A-listed building at 30 Bothwell Street – formerly the site of Madness Theatre of Fun – has undergone a £1m renovation and redesign and will now be home to the new Brau Haus bar and restaurant.

With a focus on the best beers from the region and traditionally inspired cuisine, the venue will be one of a kind and the UK’s most dedicated Bavarian-themed Bar.

It is in the stylish bar area that Weald Refrigeration’s expertise has been called upon to manufacture and supply its superb RR1000 range of bottle coolers.

As many of you know Weald Refrigeration is a master in the art of the custom built bottle coolers and is able to manufacture its bottle coolers to almost any specification and in a wide variety of styles and finishes, which was great news for the above

Now, Glasgow revellers can enjoy the taste of ice cold German beers and wines at the Bavaria Brau Haus at 30 Bothwell Street.

The beer hall will also be specialising in traditional German cuisine offering a range of traditional Bavarian meats with a British twist.

Whilst the full range of beers hasn’t been confirmed, the key offering will be centred around what are know in Munich as ‘The Big 6’.

These are Lowenbrau, Hofbrau, Augestiner, Paulaner, Hacken-Pschorr and Spaten. The independent venue comes from owner Raymond Codona who is looking to offer German flavours and dishes using locally sourced ingredients.

The cuisine is a traditional Bavarian offering that features Schweinshaxe (pork knuckle), Schnitzel (veal) and a traditional Bavarian sausage.
